Project 33 Testimonies

This year’s Project33 rally went very well. Our goal was to reach Roseville and surrounding communities. We had the biggest turn out ever to the clinic outreaches. Over 70 people attended the first one at the Wright St. Clinic and over 100 people went to the Show the Truth on Sunrise Blvd near Planned Parenthood. Many people in the Roseville area are excited about getting involved and helping in anyway possible. This year was a BIG success and we hope next year will be even more successful. Many thanks to all of the people involved who helped make Project33 happen!

As I drove up Cirby Way on that cold, overcast morning, I anticipated the site, but it still took my breath away: on the lawn of Foothill Community Church facing the street, stood 900 solemn white crosses. As I turned into the parking lot, I read the large sign posted out front; the 900 crosses stood as memorials for the 45 million aborted babies. The event I had come to the church to participate in was Project 33, a commemorative memorial on the 32 nd anniversary of Roe V. Wade. The two-day event drew almost 1,000 people between the memorial service and youth rally. Manning the Teens For Life information table and helping behind the scenes, I could see that the pastors, congregations, and youth were stirred up by the cause to end abortion and the event was a great success. Testimonies brought tears, speakers inspired, and I believe everyone left the church with renewed resolve to stop the murder of innocent children in America .

Teens For Life Testimonies

I remember wanting to be in Teens for Life when it was first getting started, but I was too young.  I went to a few events with my dad over the years, but didn’t really start attending on a regular basis until the beginning of 2004.  When I started coming more I became passionate about abortion and soaked in all the information I could.  I made several friends, and knew that I was around people who genuinely cared.  My heart was broken for the unborn; I had a passion for the pro-life cause. I decided it was well worth my time to be dedicated to the group, people, and the unborn babies.  The experiences I’ve had so far have definitely helped me grow spiritually, and have put me out of my comfort zone in a good way.  God has definitely worked in my life for and through Teens for Life.

Teens for Life is one of the most awesome things in which I have ever been involved. It has changed my perspective on life and how I relate to hurting people, my peers, children, babies, and adults. I think I have become more sensitive to people who are hurting. People who walk by and see our signs and are seeing them for the first time are shocked, scared, and sometimes angry; some start to cry, while others look away. These people deserve compassion and understanding. I am learning to pray for my enemies and anyone and everyone I see. God has touched my heart in so many ways since I got involved with teens for life.

The Spirit of the teens in the group is so different from any other group of people I have ever met. Their compassion and love for the lost and other Christians is so Christ-like. Their respect for their elders and for the opposite sex was such a new thing for me. Being able to relate to the opposite sex in Teens for Life as a brother or sister in Christ and not as a potential boyfriend or girlfriend, is helping me to grow as a Christian.

I thank God every day for Teens for Life. My experience with the group has helped me to learn to think and to explain the truth to others logically. I’ve learned great life skills I will never lose!

God has used Teens for Life in my life in so many ways. When I first started attending, it was so wonderful to see so many other teens just like me who shared my desire to honor God and stand up for the unborn. Being a part of Teens for life has also convicted me even more to live up to 1 Timothy 4:12 (the Teens for Life motto): "Do not let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, life, love, faith and purity."

The amazing people I have met in Tene sfor Life are one of the best gifts from God that He has ever given me. They are constantly uplifting, teaching, encouraging and reminding me of what really matters. My prayer is that my life with Teens for Life will be a mirror of my life decision: I have decided to follow Jesus, no turning back, no turning back.
